Wellbeing for Workforce practice area strives to make wellbeing a reality for the first mile workers and reach 100 million workers by 2030. The first mile workers have poor wellbeing outcomes around health, safety, financial, livelihood, social, gender equity without having little or no investment which in turn restricts their growth opportunities as well as the overall quality of life.

Over the last 14 years, we have partnered with over 30 brands and organisations, built our presence in over 351 factories across 14 states in India as well as reached 12 countries across Asia and African regions through technical support on building capacities, programmes, systems and workplace policies. We have reached over 230,000 workers and their families (> than 60% are women). We have directly implemented our empowerment programs among 350 factories in India and have been providing technical support in Asia and African regions.
Our work on worker well being, gender equality and women workforce empowerment finds mention by International organisations and alliances such as the United Nations Foundation, World Benchmarking Alliance., World Bank, Walmart Foundation, ICRW, amongst several others. To respond and address current and emerging crisis around health, livelihood and social areas due to COVID-19 pandemic we have proposed Apparel Sector Response in consultation with key stakeholders from the supply chain. We are a member of the World Benchmarking Alliance and national consultation on Business and Human rights.

We work with various stakeholders and key actors in the supply chain such as factories, civil societies, MSMEs, multilateral and large scale programmes (e.g. Government, NGOs, Social enterprises, Pvt. Sector). The segment-wise approach enables us to deepen our efforts and expand our scope of work to various offering customised solutions and packages.
